If you are a young professional wanting to venture into the financial world then this is the neighborhood for you as Fidi is the land of Financial Centres which includes the main financial regulatory authorities offices and financial utilities which are the stock exchanges.
Financial District is considered to be the most historically rich neighborhood in New York City, one of which is due to the 9/11 attack that happened in the World Trade Center. It is the home for young professionals having its fast-paced atmosphere during the daylight and a little bit relaxed during the night time.
